First known case of a lizard growing six new tails at once [video]
Lizards are known to regrow their injured tails, but an Argentine Black And White Tegu (Salvator merianae) regenerated six tails. This specimen appears to have suffered a major injury and several smaller ones. Tail autotomy followed by regeneration helps lizards escape from predators.
