While doing some research on Longevity, I came across the astonishing achievements of Stanislaw Kowalski, who in 2014, became the oldest man in Europe to complete the 100-meter dash and he did it in a record-breaking 32.79 seconds. A 96-year-old Japanese man held the previous record of 34 seconds. Not only was the time impressive, but he ran with ease and did not appear winded.

You may remember that Usain Bolt’s world record speeds got him in at 9.58 seconds back in 2009 in the 100-meter dash. Stanislaw Kowalski is only 23.21 seconds behind the world’s fastest man — not too bad for a 104-year old. Usain Bolt was 22 when he achieved greatness in the 100 meter.
Kowalski was born in 1910 and attributes his health to not seeing doctors, not overeating, and avoiding eating a lot at night. Kowalski’s health strategy echoes what we have heard for years: there is a food and longevity connection. I sum up this strategy in the following way, “The less you eat, the longer you live, so the more you get to eat.” He wishes everyone could live to his age and be as healthy as he is. He has to be doing something right, and he looks good.
The 104-year-old pensioner said afterward, “I feel like a new man,” reported Yahoo 7.
Stay active, eat right, and take care of yourself. It is possible for all of us to live to 104 and still be healthy!
