10 Signs That You Have A Great Girlfriend

1. She’s Loyal To You
This is a pretty fundamental requirement of anyone in a monogamous relationship. Unless the two of you have agreed to be in an open relationship, your girlfriend has to be loyal to you, and this goes beyond simply not cheating on you or flirting . She should stick up for you around other people, and defend you if people are being rude or unfair to you.
2. She Shares Your Values
You and your girlfriend don’t have to agree with each other on everything, but when it comes to your fundamental beliefs and values, you two should be aligned. These often take a little while to come to light, so don’t be afraid to delve into the deeper questions when you are first getting to know a romantic interest.
3. She tells you why she is in a bad mood.
Nobody can be a in a good mood all the time. She tells you why something is wrong, what happened at work to make her mad and why she is in a foul temper. Some people call that real communication.
4. She loves you for who you are, not for what you do.
Lots of famous people attract others because of their stardom. Tim Tebow makes it very clear that he wants a kind and sweet girl who is not dazzled by his fame.
5. She Respects Your Beliefs
The perfect girlfriend doesn’t have to share your beliefs or dreams. However, she does have to respect them in order for you to keep your individuality. If she doesn’t, she will try to change your beliefs, so that both of you will share her point of view on the world – and that type of induced change in your individuality can add serious pressure to your life.
6. She's honest
Even when it's not easy to hear. We'll get along just fine with a "yes" woman...for a while. But to build something lasting, we'll need someone who is happy to call us on our bullshit. Also, an honest person who is not afraid to say how they feel about things will be less likely to say stuff to please us, and then put up with something they actually dislike — that's the road to resentment, which can destroy relationships.
7. She gives us space...
To fix cars, climb mountains, play video games, put the world to rights over beers with our friends or whatever man-crap we need to do in our free time. Crying, fighting or sulking when we chose to do those things once in a while is not good.
8. She is funny.
This is so important. Dating somebody without a sense of humour, or even a wildly different sense of humour, is torture. If she laughs at your jokes, and you at hers, she is probably a keeper. Humour = hot.
9. She makes you feel...like a natural man.
I’m not naturally a terrifically manly man. I play basketball and keep in shape, and I’m (pretty much) straight. Also, I look good in a suit. In a lot of ways, however, I can be pretty effete and/or childlike. Consequently, it is important to me to be in a relationship with somebody who doesn’t constantly emasculate me. Even the most liberal, bicycle-riding, hippy-dippy, skinny-jeans wearing, bi-curious dandy likes to feel like a high-status man sometimes.
10. She is a good listener.
She wants to know what went wrong with that project at work or why you got mad with your boss. She is not afraid to ask for details. Her questions are focused on where you are coming from. She offers advice when asked for it.
