Marijuana, free love and an endless amount of music festivals. How are these three things related? They were commonly experienced by those who identified (and maybe still do) as “hippies” in the 1960’s.
The era in which a counterculture movement of peace, love and freedom sprang up will forever be remembered by those who seek to erase division and form a society which protects all. Though this notion is somewhat romantic, most of the people in the following photos believed it was possible. It is for this reason the historic images are so incredible.
